I AM AN ARTIST WHO IS INSPIRED by the majestic, meditative elegance of the horse. My own horses are patient models for my work and much of my inspiration. I enjoy painting large animals and try to capture the presence and power of the animals by painting monochromatically and on a large scale.

My graphic style of painting is greatly influenced by my past studies and work experience. I have a Graphic Arts and Economics degree from Smith College and studied oil painting at the School of Visual Arts in New York. Upon graduation I was hired by a Master Printer to assist on the lithography of many renowned artists.

After many years of living and working in Manhattan, I was drawn to the beauty and lifestyle of the Southwest. There I was able to combine my two passions painting and horses. I strive to create work that embodies the spirit and power of these beautiful animals.
